The Moose is reopening!
But there are restrictions.
We're happy to announce that The Flemington Moose Lodge is reopening for outdoor beverages beginning Monday, June 15th, on our usual schedule. Governor Murphy, Raritan Twp. and the State Dept. of Health have allowed us to open following specific guidelines. We will be serving drinks only for at least the first week and then phasing in dining as we gauge turnout. Though solvent, the Lodge has suffered significant loss of income during this closure. Your officers have taken this time to evaluate the Lodge’s profitability and made some necessary price changes. In addition, we’ve done extensive cleaning, made needed improvements and gone to great lengths to reopen under the current constraints. Remember, with the exception of our Administrator and servers, we are all volunteers trying to make your experience great again!
The outdoor dining experience
We’ll have a large tent with tables and chairs set up at least 6-feet apart in the rear parking lot. You’ll be able to go inside to order beverages, carry them outside yourself, and use the restrooms. Bartenders will be required to wear masks and will be cleaning and sanitizing common areas regularly. An outside, hand-sanitizing station and disinfectant wipes will be provided. We look forward to seeing everyone back at the lodge but request that you adhere to the following guidelines, most set forth by the State Dept. of Health, to keep yourself, your Moose brothers and sisters, and our staff safe.
Temporary safety guidelines
If you have a fever, cough or any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home.
Please wear a mask when going inside the building.
Keep your time inside to a minimum, patrons will not be allowed to sit or socialize inside the building.
Please try to maintain at least 6-feet of separation between you and others while waiting in line for drinks and using the lavatories.
Please maintain 6-feet of separation between you and other parties while outside.
No more than eight patrons are allowed at a single table.
Please clean/disinfect your own area when leaving.
No outside alcohol is allowed.
The town noise ordinance is 10pm and requires that we close at 11pm. We want to be good neighbors!
Please refrain from profanity while outside!
Your dues must be current
Many members have not renewed their dues, possibly because of not being able to visit the Social Quarters. Know that your dues benefit both the Lodge and Moose International. Your dues must be current in order to purchase alcohol. Our servers will be checking membership cards to ensure everyone is in compliance.
If these guidelines are too onerous for you, we ask that you not visit until restrictions are relaxed. The Lodge must accommodate all members, regardless of an individual’s specific viewpoint on the current situation. We’re all in this together, so for the sake of everyone involved, we ask that you respect these decisions.
Thank you, stay well, and we look forward to seeing you at the Lodge!
Please check back regularly for updated information.
Attendance at Events is limited to Moose members and their qualified guests unless otherwise noted.
